Little Studio, Big Heart

Soulshine Yoga is a boutique yoga studio located in historic Old Wethersfield Connecticut. We welcome all yogis, wherever you are in your journey. We offer heated, warmed and regular temperature classes as well as various styles of yoga. Weather permitted we will also host classes outside at our location. Come as you are, we can't wait to meet you! 

We know trying a new space can be overwhelming!

Our goal is to make our studio accessible & welcoming to all students!

all souls : all levels practice, suitable for all

soul work : power flow, some experience recommended

aligned souls : asana alignment focused practice

soul soothe : slow flow & restorative

soul medicine : gentle flow & meditation

sweat and surrender : warmed power flow & yin cooldown

hustle & flow : heated power flow, hip hop tracks

slow flow : relaxed vibe & slow paced vinyasa, accessible to all 

yin : slow paced, longer holds, strengthening and lengthening less common used muscles!

hatha : strong practice, longer holds and are typically done without a vinyasa connecting the poses

 

 

beginner? we recommend trying soul soothe, soul medicine, slow flow or all souls first!

Brianna Bruno

Brianna is the Owner of Soulshine. Brianna grew up in Wethersfield and has practiced yoga for many years. Brianna completed her Yoga Teacher Training full immersion in Costa Rica, Brianna is also Total Barre and Barre Intensity certified.

Bianca grew up in Wethersfield and has practiced yoga most of her adult life. Bianca completed her Yoga Teacher Training at Y7 Yoga in NYC where she lived for the past 6 years.

When Bianca is not on her mat you can find her downstairs from Soulshine at her clothing store Castor and Poly!

Rachel Stewart

Rachel Stewart is a native NY’er who transplanted to CT in 2001.  Fairly new to Wethersfield, one of her daughters attends Charles Wright Elementary and another is at SDMS.  Her background includes teaching middle school science and math in Newington for the past 20 years and instructing yoga for the past 6.  Ms.  Stewart holds a BS in education and a MS in science with a 200 HR KCYT certification from Kripalu.  It has been a passion to fuse yoga and mindfulness into the field of education while also enriching personal practice by attending the annual Mindfulness conference at CCSU, participating in workshops at Copper Beech and attending sessions at Odiyana.  She has taught yoga to all ages, of all abilities, teens to retirees, teachers and body builders, martial artists and other athletes and facilitates mindfulness in her school by guiding the students daily and the teachers monthly at faculty meetings.

Gina Uricchio

Gina Uricchio (RYT 200) has been a devotee of yoga for 15 years, Influenced by a variety of teachers & styles -from vinyasa to alignment -based approaches. Gina creates a

welcoming environment for all her students. Her classes help find balance between movement and stillness, strength and flexibility, resilience and surrender as she guides thru Asana in a safe heartfelt way.

Come to class ready to connect mind, body and spirit

Kathleen has background in occupational therapy, is a 200 hr yoga teacher and a Reiki Level 1 practitioner. Yoga has been a part of her life for over 10 years, and her practice has helped her grow stronger, more flexible and become more grounded, both on and off the mat. Yoga inspires her to live each moment more mindfully. She completed her 200 hour teacher training at Sacred Rivers Yoga in 2014. She will always be a student of the practice and loves to share the many benefits with others.  She also is a certified Child Light Yoga ®️ teacher, working on her prenatal/postnatal certification and has done some training with Katonah Yoga ®️. In her classes you will experience a combination of creative sequencing, a spirit of playfulness and a dose of inspiration to help you deepen your practice. She seeks to help others thrive in live by nurturing body, mind and soul with yoga, and her hope is that you step off the mat feeling refreshed, nourished and balanced.

 

When she's off the mat you can find her spending time with her dog Buddha, her son, family and friends. She enjoys traveling and anything to do with nature like hiking, plants and animals. 

Jesse has dedicated majority of her life to movement. She has been a dancer from the age of 3 and later in her dance career went on to be the Head Coach for the Southern Connecticut State University Dance Team for over 4 years. She has a background in Exercise Science (Health & Human Movement) with a concentration in Human Performance. Jesse is a certified Zumba Instructor as well as a certified Animal Flow Instructor. Through all that movement though, she found her true heart and soul through the ancient teachings of Yoga. She obtained her RYT 200 with a focus in Chakra sequencing from Breathing Room Yoga Center in New Haven, CT. Jesse also has completed a Yoga teacher training in AstroYoga where she has learned how to intricately guide others to flow in alignment with the celestial forces. She is passionate about intertwining the energy dynamics of the planets and astrology with the teachings of Yoga to create something transformative in alignment with the intelligence of Nature and connected to the greater forces that create our reality. Combining her various movement backgrounds, Jesse loves to empower others to safely redefine their relationship to movement and elevate their mind, body and spirit 

When Jesse is not moving you can find her creating herbal medicine, connecting with Nature or creating art!

Karen Riccio

Alexi Tetrault

Alden Minick

Karen is a mental health advocate, tarot reader, creative entrepreneur, and explorer of spirituality. She received her RYT-200 hour certification in 2021 through The Om Center in Watertown, CT. She infuses breathwork, tarot readings, and mindfulness prompts during practice to encourage deep self connection and healing. She enjoys playful heart pumping vinyasa as well as, laid back flows to match her carefree personality. 

Alden found yoga at the University of Georgia in 2016 and instantly knew it was for her. In 2020 she got her 200hr RYT Certification in Baptiste Inspired Yoga with Dancing Dogs Yoga School in Greensboro, North Carolina. She teaches a fiery flow with focus on connecting breath to movement and offers opportunity for exploration and play throughout class. When Alden isn’t on her mat you can find her playing with her dog, Pippin, trekking through the mountains with her partner, in the kitchen baking, or cuddled up watching Netflix.

Kristina Giliberto

Jenna Casorio

Kristina has been a yoga practitioner for over two decades, earning a 200hr certification at Samadhi Yoga Studio in Manchester in 2012. Kristina fully embraces how her yoga has changed and evolved over the years to flow with the seasons of her life. Trainings/certifications along the way include Yoga4Cancer, Restorative, and Functional Anatomy.  In her classes, Kristina hopes to offer a soft hearted and authentic space for students. Come as you are to breathe, move, lengthen, and ground. 

Jenna kicked off her yoga journey in 2016 with the intention of self improvement. By developing a regular practice, yoga has offered her the space to connect internally, tap into her intuition, and focus on personal happiness. In 2017 Jenna completed her 200 hour teacher training at West Hartford Yoga. While her training is rooted in power yoga, Jenna embraces opportunities to experience other styles and techniques. In 2019 she completed Yin Teacher Training with Liza Dousson. Jenna’s classes focus on mindful movement all connected to breath. Her hands-on assists and attention to alignment offer her students a safe space to test their edges and deepen their practice.

Alexi stumbled upon her first yoga class while she was studying abroad in Florence, Italy. She then completed her RYT at the Studio DC inWashington, D.C. in 2013, a place she once called home for years. Since then, Alexi has completed an additional 30 hour training from Travis Eliot and Lauren Eckstrom in Los Angeles, CA, with a focus in Ayurvedic medicine. In Alexi’s class, you can expect to be offered mindful sequencing with a focus on anatomy. Alexi loves to offer a physical challenge, yet her classes are still accessible to any level practitioner, with taking special attention to provide a sense of grounding and relaxation through her practice. 

 

Off the mat, Alexi works as a Physician Assistant in Hartford and loves to her spend time running, cooking, and playing with her new pup Moose.

Hannah Stacy 

Hannah has completed two 200-hr yoga teacher trainings in 2016 and 2019 as well as yin yoga trainings and intensives. She is a certified health coach and has reiki, meditation and breathwork training. She also practices auriculotherapy, a form of Chinese medicine that aids in pain management. Hannah creates a nurturing space to slow down and connect to the present moment. Her devotion to healing has guided her journey to health, wellness and spirituality. Her classes create a safe container where students are able to soften and find space for growth.

Kate Stofira
 

Kate is a yoga teacher, labor & birth doula, reiki healer and ayurvedic practitioner. She began teaching yoga in 2014 and has been devoted to the practice ever since. She believes the body loves to be moved and stretched and that we feel better as a result. She believes yoga provides us with practical wisdom and gives us the opportunity to feel safe in uncomfortable shapes, among many other benefits. Kate grew up in Cromwell, CT and recently moved back from California to grow her doula business and connect with east coast yogis. She teaches Hatha, Vinyasa and Bhakti yoga and is so excited to practice with the Soulshine community!

Renee Dumouchel

You have all you need WITHIN to grow, heal, and transform. Yet, sometimes life experiences make it hard to listen and act. With over a decade of experience in somatic healing, conscious facilitation, mind/body integration practices, and trauma release, Renée takes an embodied, values-based approach to support students to unearth the most powerful, grounded, and authentic versions of themselves. Her classes, workshops, 1:1 coaching, and group experiences explore expressions of power, vulnerability, accountability, beauty, and surrender. She delights in creating ritual and exploring the unexpected. Unafraid of the “messy middle,” she dives deep with curiosity and compassion to help individuals move through limiting beliefs and align intention and action to live the life they desire. A certified C-IAYT yoga therapist, YA certified yoga teacher, Energy Medicine yoga practitioner, reiki practitioner, transformative coach and group facilitator, and Emergenetics Associate with over 20 years of dance, performance, and movement studies training, Renée will meet you where you are so you can ascend to where you want to be.
